MORNING: Belmont Shore Chocolate Chip Pancake Breakfast
9AM to 11AM
The Belmont Shore Business Association will put together its Chocolate Chip Pancake breakfast from 9am to 11am. It will be located at the corner of Corona & 2nd, just around the corner from Legends Sports Bar. The cost will be $5 for the Belmont Shore community, but please note that it will be First Come First Serve!
AFTERNOON: Chocolate Festival on 2nd Street
1PM to 4PM
The 11th Annual Belmont Shore Chocolate Festival is put on by the Belmont Shore Businesses who will be offering an array of chocolate treats and other sweets for all chocolate lovers. Businesses will also serve other sweets to satisfy the whole family. There is no entry fee for the event, only the actual cost of tickets used to purchase the dessert items offered by the businesses. A book of twelve tickets is $10 and will be sold starting Jan. 30th at participating Belmont Shore businesses!
CONTEST: Homemade Chocolate Dessert Contest
Contest starts 2PM, finalist chosen at 3PM
Enter the Homemade Chocolate Dessert Contest if you have a recipe for a chocolate dessert worthy of an award. A panel of judges will sample the desserts and choose winners in three categories: Chocolate Cakes & Pies, Chocolate Cookies & Brownies and Unique Chocolate Treats. the cost is $10 per dessert to enter. The contest tent will be located on Corona Ave. (only judges may sample the desserts). The contest begins at 2PM and the awards will be awarded at 3pm.
CONTEST: Hof’s Hut Chocolate Pie Eating Contest
Sign up in front of Chase Bank >> starts approximately 3:15PM
Starting around 3:15p those who would rather eat chocolate than make it are welcome to enter the Hof’s Hut Chocolate Pie Eating Contest. Contestants will race each other to see who can eat an individual size chocolate cream pie the fastest. Winners of each age category will receive a trophy. Sign up the day of event on Corona Ave. (south of 2nd St.) Age groups: 6 to 8, 9 to 11, 12 to 14, 15 to 17 and adults. Sign up in front of Chase Bank on the day of the event.

There will be a number of activities prepared for children including: face painting, ballooning, mural drawing and music / entertainment!
